I am the author of more than 45 books, specializing in history, puzzles and popular science, mythology, cinema and the arts.

As an editor, I have more than 35 years’ experience of editing and proofreading in a wide variety of subject areas, including history, medicine and health, cinema and the arts, travel guides and personnel and business … I have worked as a copy-editor for the prestigious Applied Policy Research Institute of Armenia, the World Economic Forum and the News Deeply websites.

In History & Mythology, look out for my illustrated book The Medieval Castle, which uses Guédelon Castle, the intriguing project in Burgundy to build a 21st-castle using medieval techniques and materials as a focus for a study of castles in the Middle Ages. My illustrated histories of papacy and the British Royal Family have been updated and reprinted many times and my piece on royal weddings was published in the New York Times.
